Although being the cautious man that he is he was mesmerized by the sight before him. "Why is this here?" he thought to himself again as he decides to himself to walk around the and check the gazebo out from all sides. "What purpose does it hold?" he ponders [Dude the Graphics]

The Tierisch threw his arms up and over behind his head as he slowed to a stroll. "It seems I chose the right path," he whispered to himself between breaths. As he walked, he scanned the barren floor, searching for anything of interest or out of the norm.[?][Good Luck]

Re: Campaign: Memories of Ambition

Kaiser opened each chest one by one. In the first chest was 250 Buxxors, bound with a rubber band. In the second chest lay a beam sword. Kaiser pulled out the bare handle and activated it. It reached up to about 5 meters in length, and it didn't weigh any heavier. He returned it to the chest to see what else lay inside the other chests. In the third chest was a plasma shield. Kaiser picked it up and activated it, just as he did with the beam sword. The shield covered his entire front body. He put it back and headed to the fourth chest. Within it was a mini railgun. Kaiser picked it up: it didn't weigh a thing. He took a shot straight up, and a powerful beam blasted from the small gun. He put it back to check the last chest: A ball and chain. A primitive weapon, indeed, but it definitely could serve its purpose.

Ghost checked the gazebo. It was ornately decorated. The wood was carved so intricate designs bordered the handrails. The interior looked well kept, as there were no leaves or dirt on the floor at all. The gazebo was ethereal in appearance, just as described in the legends.

As Emil scanned the floor, he found footsteps. They led down the path, but they soon diverged off the path and into a different direction.

Whistling, Kaiser looked about him and dropped the Buxxors into his pocket. Looking about once more, he looked once more over the items in the chests, then spat on the assembled items. "Damn laser crap, I still don't see why anyone would want to use something like this over a fast AR."

Then he looked back towards the crossroads. Looking back and forth between the chests and the path behind him, he eventually sighed and picked up the tech, stuffing the railgun and the unactivated shield and sword into his backpack. "I won't use this shit, but the guys might like a flashy new gun."

"Hmm...Curious," thought the chef aloud as he stopped to track the footsteps. Cautiously, he followed the new route, led not by a trail, but only by the mysterious footprints set into the ground.

Ghost is split by two feelings, one being totally mystified by the object. The second was a feeling in his gut telling him that there is something wrong. That its too perfect. What are the chances that something would just would be here? Remembering the wore path he had just traveled. People have come by this place before and yet it stills lays undisturbed.
"One final test should be fine." Taking a knife out he tosses it onto the gazebo so it lands handle down and he waits for the result

Kaiser pocketed the weapons and Buxxors and continued down the path. He looked back, wary of any traps, but none sprung. I guess it was just a bunch of freebees? Kaiser thought to himself. ...Sweet. And Kaiser walked off whistling.

Emil followed the footsteps. He ended up on a totally different path, one marked by a more worn road. The footprints continued onto that same path, and Emil continued to follow them. Soon, Emil encountered another figure walking. At first he put his guard up, believing that another fight would arise, but upon careful inspection, he saw that it was Kaiser. He ended up on Kaiser's path. "Kaiser!" Emil yelled for his comrade. Kaiser turned to see him, and he met him once Emil caught up.

Ghost's knife landed on the gazebo, and nothing happened. No rumbling, no attacks, no traps... nothing out of the ordinary for a gazebo.

Ghost walks to the front of the gazebo. There he takes a deep breathe and steps on the first of the steps making his way to the middle of the platform to pickup his knife.

"Emil? That's odd, the path didn't curve." He looked back, only seeing a straight road behind him. As he walked forward to meet his companion, he remembered the weapons he had discovered. "Hey, found some tech back there. Want something?" He brought his backpack around and stretched it open. "Got me some sort of super- laser thing, some sort of laser sword, and one of those fancy shields." Looking up at Emil's path, he wondered what he had faced on his small trip. He didn't ask.

Ghost stepped into the gazebo. Nothing. He walked into the middle of the gazebo. Nothing. Finally, he concluded that it was just a gazebo, if not THE gazebo. He finally let his guard down and bent over to pick up his knife.

All of a sudden, the gazebo shut. The roof clamped onto the handrails, leaving Ghost in a cramped space. He stayed down to observe what was going on. Shit, he thought, it IS a trap! He was caught in the gazebo's jaws. Without any notice, the gazebo sprung into the air. It leaped up, reaching an altitude of about 80 feet in no time. Ghost crawled to the side to observe what the hell was going on. The green grass faded away. It was an illusion brought by the gazebo. "Dammit," Ghost said. "This isn't right."

Emil's gaze set on his approaching ally. "I didn't expect to see you so soon after we parted, Kaiser." He broke his stare as the Thanatos neared, taking in the barren wastes around him. He glanced over the items before him. "Julius weapons. Interesting. I'll let you holdd onto them for now, my friend." The Tierisch nestled the weapons back in place. "I do believe we just missed somebody coming this way, from my path," he guided Kaiser's glance to the footsteps he was following. "Shall we explore?" he asked, seldom smiling as he looked back up at the heavily armed Cassius.

Ghost calms himself and takes a second to think. "I knew this would happen. It was all too perfect. Is this even really happening?"
He yells out "What do you want with me?" To see if anyone is there to respond to him

Re: Campaign: Memories of Ambition

Emil and Kaiser walked down the path, only to find Lanie waiting at the end. "Hey, guys! What took you so long?" Emil and Kaiser were surprised to see Lanie at the end of your path. "How'd you get here?" Emil asked. "I walked," Lanie answered jokingly. "I got into a fight with some Memory Hunters, but it wasn't too bad. How about you guys? How was your trip?" Emil looked at Kaiser, who looked at him as well. "Nothing special," they responded in unison. "Well, that's not bad," Lanie said. "So where's Ghost?"

At that moment, the three looked up. A small structure was falling their direction. The three spread out, and when the structure landed, they saw that it was a gazebo. A worn, grey gazebo, but it was definitely a gazebo. The roof was slammed on the handrails, but it soon lifted up to reveal Ghost on his side. Kaiser, Emil and Lanie rushed inside the gazebo to tend to their comrade. "What happened to you?!" Lanie asked. Ghost looked up to see the three. "The gazebo ate me," Ghost replied. Perplexed, they were about to ask Ghost more questions when the gazebo ate all of them.

The inside of the gazebo got dark. All of a sudden they were spinning. "What the hell is going on?! Ghost, this better not be a bad joke!" Kaiser yelled. Before Ghost could respond, the gazebo stopped spinning. The roof opened, but the outside world was not revealed. Instead, the gazebo expanded, to about the size of a small room. A light turned on, and a mysterious man appeared before them. Clad in a brown trenchcoat, his presence bothered the group. "Well," the man in brown said, "I'm glad you could make it. Welcome... to the gazebo."

The Tierisch glanced curiously over the man's apparel. As a few silent moments passed, he spoke. "MacGyver..." He had seen kind like him before. The clothing he wore seemed to be that of the Julius underground clans. He couldn't be a Brutus. It would have been obvious if he was. But the transforming gazebo shot another name into Emil's thought. "...or are you Monastery, my friend?" He had seen only one prior to this encounter. It was back on Jericho II one day at work. The Monastery bumbled into the restaurant, his face and body shielded behind the intricate mechanical armor he wore. He ordered a drink. Then another. Within half an hour the lowlife was heavily inebriated, and was shouting up a storm, arguing with other patrons about some trivial sports knowledge. Emil had to escort him outside.

Ghost thinks to himself as Emil begins to ask questions. He doesn't seem interested in the chef was asking but listened anyway. After he asks "How could we possible be here we haven't completed our task yet?" taking a pause for a second and asks embarrassedly because he knew the story of the Gazebo by heart "Plus The Gazebo, wasn't it suppose to be green?"

Kaiser looked over the man who had appeared when the light had come on. He remembered the day that he had seen this man, in the strange comatose dream. Again, he looked over the mysterious man, then spoke up. "Quite.. illusive, aren't we? If we didn't win your damn game, why are we here in the bowels of the Gazebo?" As the man's attention turned to him, he tried to stare back, but there was something odd about his gaze. "Give me some damn answers, else things might get ugly. And the only pieces the Julius are gonna' find of this here Gazebo will be smoldering rubble." He made a show of unhooking a small explosive from his bandolier.

The man smiled. "How insightful of you," he said. "I suppose it's no surprise." He glanced at Ghost. "And yes, I suppose it was rather sloppy of me to paint the gazebo white. Even so, it fooled you well enough for you to take a joyride inside of it, didn't it?" He chuckled slightly. Finally, he turned to Kaiser. "I don't know what you're talking about, Kaiser; a game? There's no game to be played. Just... a story to be told." He snapped his fingers, and a stool-like protrusion came out for him to sit on. He sat with one leg atop the other, akin to how a proper woman would sit. "Two roads," he began, "or in this case, four roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I took the one less traveled. Robert Frost. You must know him, his works were quite popular before the Magi attack. But what do you do when all roads are equally traversed?" He uncrossed his legs and leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees. "I go by a rather different philosophy. I believe that no matter what path you take in life, everyone ends up in the same place. Just as it happened with you three—you all took a separate road, but you all ended together once more." All of a sudden, the stool rose higher. The gazebo's roof rose, but the walls remained. The man stood. He was high up, approximately 30 feet above their heads on a giant pillar. "My name is Tyler," he said with a smirk, "and you'll all be taking a detour in the path of life."

COMBAT! Tyler

The gazebo's interior spanned at a diameter of about 20 feet. The roof was about 40 feet above their heads. Tyler stood at the top of the pillar, waiting for their attacks. The group's Memory Radar tingled. Tyler had a Memory.

"What the hell is going on!" Ghost thinks to himself as he looks up towards the man on the pedestal. "I guess this is really just another battle."
He seemed disappointed with his eyes slowly descending to the ground. The whole seems foolish to him now but he really did in start to get his hopes up. He looks down at his hands. "A couple more and it'll all be over." He looks up with new found strength and a smile on his face. He is ready to fight.[Monologue]
