Attack: 24

Andres slid backwards across the snow-laden floor as he was barraged with Drako's improvised weaponry. At the end of the assault, Andres stood tall. It would take a little more than a few dishes and cups to bring him down, it seemed. Suddenly, Andres staggered back and plopped violently onto one knee, triggering a massive uproar from the audience. His malnutrition over the past several days forced him out of his bluff and onto the ground. In a normal person's hands, cheap cookware and some rusty pipes were laughable. But it seemed the Nekros was far more experienced than just a normal person.
Andres has lost 1 body point! He has 3 body points remaining!

Drako smirked as he watched Andres fall in a heap over himself across the fray. Cheers in his favor echoed throughout the forest clearing and the adrenaline pent up in Drako surged rapidly through his veins. Drako advanced towards his victim, but without warning, began coughing violently halfway through his stride. The Nekros fell to his knees, sending a puff of snow off the floor. As Drako coughed, his mouth filled with a warm, coppery fluid. The Nekros spat the fluid on the ground, which painted a portion of the snow a deep crimson and caused the chanting in his favor to subside and those for the Cytherean to amplify. The Nekros stumbled to his feet.
Drako has lost one body! He has 2 body remaining!

The crowd was in uproar and the energy was electrifying. People were now cheering for either men to go in for the kill, and a good many could be heard changing their bets. The two stood across from each other, both with fire in their eyes. Losing was clearly not an option to either of the combatants.
COMBAT CONTINUED!

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by Reaper on Fri Mar 09, 2012 6:31 pm

"Blood, he got me to start bleeding, this hunger really must be getting to me" he muttered to himself. The cold was getting to him and he knew what he really wanted was a piece of that pork. He decided things quickly and made his move. Charging in to the battle while taking the giant scythe off his back he decided that the he was done with the silly games of the battle and was ready to really get into it with the cytherea. Weilding the scythe with both hands positioned nearer to the end of the scythe he stopped about 51/2 feet away and with all the momentum of the charge swung the pole end straight into the neck of his opponent even spinning around through the follow through because of the power put into the swing. [First Action][Soul of the Sword]

As Andre was still on the floor Drako moved the scythe to his neck once again but this time with the dull top part of his scythe. There he made a motion as like a push onto of a broom handle into the underpart of his chin jolting Andre enough to gasp for air. He was not done taking his large boots Drako stomped down upon Andre's chest as would a person to do to a spider. [Second Action][Soul of the Sword]

Throwing the scythe behind him onto the snow ridden ground Drako preceded to continue to stomp upon him with all the power he had. After a few moments of incessant stomping he then proceeded to move to his food where he dragged him back to the center of the circle where his scythe was. Swining him around Mario and bowser style from the ankles until he got enough momentum to throw him straight up in the air. Not very high but high enough for Drako to grab his scythe and position it under the flying Cytherea. The bottom of the scythe was up and as gravity would take its turn and cause Andre to fall upon the dull round end of the bottom of the scythe [Third Actioin][Soul of the Sword][Desecrator]

Andre catching the Scythes end right in the belly was temporarily breathless. Drako picking up the scythe vertically with one swift motion threw Andre through the air. Ultimately he descended upon the jaws of a particularly large Jackal face first. The Jackal biting the Cytherea and shaking him like a rag doll was only the half of it. Next he felt a large pole like object come down onto his back with enough power to make a sound when it hit. After this the Jackal dropped his prey [Fourth Action][Soul of the Sword][Pet]

Drako was starting to feel the strain of his body as the adrenalin left him. He Hoped that this fight would not last much longer. Seeing the Jackal drop Andre he knew it was only a matter of time before he would counter attack. Taking the oppurtunity he walked over to Andre and began to prod him harshly with the back of his scythe. Making sure to hit all the softer tissue on the body he ended up jabbing him in the face and torso several times before he finished and slowly walked away. [Fifth Action][Soul of the Sword]

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by joseph on Fri Mar 09, 2012 7:25 pm

Andres was on one knee. His surroundings began to spin. Voices became a little fuzzy, but Andres was able to make out a familiar voice cheering for him. He looked up and his vision began to still—Ferrus was yelling at him to get up. The disapproval was just faintly there in his eyes, but he accepted what was happening and decided to do what was best for the situation. With a new spark ignited, Andres stumbled up. "Okay, it's time to get serious."

The stabilizer went all the way down, and the snow under their feet froze over into a sheet of clear ice. Andres cut the ice off right where the audience was and formed an 8 foot barrier around the two, isolating themselves from the bystanders. The brawl turned into a cage match. As soon as everything froze over, Andres began his attack. Skating around at high speeds, he was nothing but a blue flash to Drako. Andres managed to gather up whatever friction he could and pushed forward right into Drako, landing a hard liver blow with the momentum he gathered. [First Action] [Psychic Powers]

Andres continued his speed skate around his little dome. Faster and faster the Cytherea went, until Drako saw nothing but the blue light from Andres' arm circling around him. The blue light grew brighter until the light became a bright halo around the dome. An aurora began to form itself at the top of the dome, taking the audience's, as well as Drako's attention. The Jackal began to bark, but before Drako could react, shards of ice began to pelt him. The little blue halo that was attacking him began to shoot shards of ice at him. [Second Action] [Psychic Powers]

Andres' speed began to become too fast, even for himself. Before he noticed, he was already gliding on the barrier he put up around the two of them, covering nearly 360° in mere seconds. I guess this'll work, Andres thought to himself with a smirk, as the little blue halo became a mess of lines throughout the dome. He continued shooting shards at Drako with full body coverage on him. There was nowhere to hide. [First Action] [Psychic Powers] [Desecrator]

At this point, the crowd was in awe of the light show they were witnessing. They couldn't, however, see anything past the blue shining light that covered the whole dome, so the suspense rose to the point where the audience was reduced to silence. In a moment, the dome shattered, accented by the surprised shrieks from the crowd. Appearing in the smoke and debris was a perfect tableaux scene of Andres' boot planted midair right in Drako's face. Drako fell into the ice, shattering on him upon impact. [Fourth Action] [Psychic Powers]

Drako's relentless assault on Andres' body seemed to barely phase the Cytherean. After catching his breath, Andres proceeded his barrage. With a completely lowered stabilizer, the shards of ice fell, glass-like, over Drako, encased in a frozen arena. The shower of razor sharp icicles left numerous small cuts all over Drako's body. Blood leaked steadily out of the lacerations and stained the virgin snow below where the Nekros stood. His breathing became troubled. He was injured, no doubt, but he wasn't down just yet.
Drako has lost one body! He has one body remaining!

Andres stared down his bloodied opponent across the field. While his body language told the Cytherean he was clearly in pain, the expression on his face showed no signs of it. A look of sheer determination etched the Nekros' face, albeit behind a light veneer of blood. Roars in favor of Andres dominated the cheers for Drako at this point, but the Nekros didn't notice. He gazed at Andres through a mask of red, deaf and blind to anything else. His jackal snarled angrily as Drako charged once more.

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by joseph on Sat Mar 10, 2012 4:15 am

The cheers of the audience roared through Andres' ears. The tables have turned and the advantage was on him, and he knew it. Regardless, he wasn't about to let himself become complacent and let the Nekrós gain any chance of winning. Andres rushed to Drako, his arm glowing in an ethereal blue. His eyes glowed green with the same intensity as he rushed his way towards Drako. Andres dodged Drako's attempts of attack and curled up right into Drako's space. Before he could react, Andres swung, landing an icy uppercut to the Nekrós' jaw and sending him flying upward. [First Action] [Psychic Powers][Weapon Connection]

As Drako was in the air, Andres prepped his next attack. He ran under Drako and held his arm out, taking precise aim before shooting the icy blue aura that shrouded his robotic arm. The aura quickly proliferated through Drako and soon froze him from head to toe in midair. Once he fell low enough to reach Andres' range, Andres jumped above Drako, leaving a patch of hard ice on the ground beneath him. With one hard swing, Andres smashed Drako into the ice, breaking the ice that froze him over and the ice that hardened the soft ground beneath him. [Second Action] [Psychic Powers]

While Drako was down, Andres took a quick glance at Ferrus to make sure everything was alright. There was still a hint of discomfort in his eyes, but he was now among the people cheering him on. Ferrus may have been slowly growing used to the fight, but Andres was still reluctant to go all out. Regardless, the fact that Ferrus was cheering him on was more than enough to keep going. While Andres was thinking, the Jackal lunged at him. Luckily, Andres guarded with his robotic arm, leaving the Jackal clinging to a metallic appendage with nothing but its teeth. In a swift movement, Andres swung the undead pet in a circle before finally flinging it towards Drako. Ferrus wasn't quite happy with the move and the possible chance of animal abuse, but Andres shrugged it off. It's already dead, anyway. [Third Action]

Andres glanced again at Ferrus, this time making eye contact with this partner. Ferrus gave him an approving nod, to which Andres replied with a near-menacing smile. With that, Andres jumped. His entire body was glowing in the ethereal blue aura, and it seemed to be suspending him in midair. The aura began to almost hum—a quiet ringing pervaded the air as the randomly wandering glow turned into a sharp light. The hum grew to a shrill white noise, and with a yell from the Cytherea, sharp shards of ice started to rain upon the battlefield. Drako was in another situation of nowhere to hide. He was pelted by the falling hail, only to be dropkicked by Andres on his way down from his heavenly throne, commanding the weather to halt on his descent. The crowd roared as Drako's face smashed into the snow. [Third Action] [Desecrator] [Psychic Powers]

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by Reaper on Tue Mar 13, 2012 2:09 am

The blood was slipping down his face as he got up from the snow laden ground. He was determined no longer to get the meat. This was becoming more about beating the Cytherea.
Getting to his feet he was strangely calm. Grabbing his scythe and looking at it for a minute to decide what to do.
Looking at the Andre with eyes that pierced his soul he swung his scythe among his fingers on his right side. Faster and faster it span until the sound of the scythe clearly permeated the air. Walking forwards towards his opponent a clear line is cut in the snow next to his foot prints. Drako could not hear the crowd to the sides of him all he could he was the sound of his own white breath as it escaped from his mouth. The snow was falling and sticking to his blood soaked face and his legs were starting to go numb with all the cold in the air. But he did not notice. When he got within reach of the scythe he stopped moving forward. The scythe slowed in his hand until the eventual stopped.
From there he jammed the scythe into the ground. Stepping towards Andre, Drako simply pulls back and punches. [First Action][Soul of the Sword]

Catching Andre by surprise, Drako swoops down and undercuts Andres feet. With one spinning motion in the same direction as the Cytherea is falling, Drako picks up the Scythe out of the ground, and swings it into the side of the man who is falling. Andre is now caught at the end of the Scythe blade and continues to spin along with Drako. Drakos spin starts of lift off the ground as the Cytherea keeps himself from being overwhelmed by centrifugal force. Once high enough Drako starts to tilt the scythe until he crashes Andre into the Ground gave first with the blade stabbing into get ground beside him leaving the bar strune cross his back [Second Action][Soul of the Sword]

Tired from this fight Drako takes a second to breath. Looking down he sees some of the broken plate fragments around him. Picking them up slowly while catching his breath he figures out what he wants to do with them. Looking over at the cytherea who is still dazed from the last attack he walks over and as he is doing so he begins to crush the fragments into smaller fragments until they are simply shards of small pointed ceramic pieces. Taking them and putting them into one hand Drako kneels down and grabs Andre by the back of his hair. Lifting the still lively Andre's face off the snow Drako shoves the plate fragments into the face of Andre and starts to rub it around and pressing it into his face. [Third Action][Desecrator]

Getting up and getting his scythe Drako feels like being creative with the fight. Grabbing a couple lead pipes, Drako watches as Andre stands up. Drako puts the pipes vertically into the ground. Looking at his Jackal Drako deciders to get onto the back of it. From there giving a simple tap the jackal Picks up andre and throws him up into the sky above the steel pipe. Jumping up after him several seconds after andre is thrown. Passing him up in the air Drako taking his scythe pushes down on The cytherea as the decend from the sky. Comming down Drako pushes andre far enough down for Drako to get a foot on him. Within seconds Andre connects with the lead pipes as well as the foot that was strategically placed right where the pipes were crushing him within the in-between. [Fourth Action][Soul of the Sword]

Drako decides for his last move he will be simple. While getting over the last strike Drako goes over to Andre. Taking a rock of the ground he precedes to bash him over the head with it several times each time harder than the last. He does this until the rock brakes from the impact and then proceeds to use his fists until he cannot feel them anymore. [Fifth action]

The bloodied Nekros stubbornly persisted, his opponent also showing no signs of waning. The fancy tricks were done with. Style and form had been sacrificed for sheer perseverance and determination. The dirtiness of Drako's moves enthralled the crowd. It seemed the battle had deteriorated into a no holds-barred street fight, and the audience couldn't get enough of it. Andres' face was inches deep in the snow by the time Drako had finished his relentless assault, his knuckles caked hard with blood. The Cytherean lied motionless on the ground, which again threw the crowd into a frenzy. Obscenities rang out prominently from Andres' corner, changing bets were now upwards of 2000 buxxors, and now, Drako stood tall over his opponent's body. Seconds later, Andres regained consciousness. His face was bloodied, and the several impacts to his head had him slightly dazed. He staggered to his feet not bothering to wipe the snow off his clothes. Blood dripped freely from a gash opened by Drako on his forehead. The crowd fell quiet as the two men stared each other down once more, each through a sheet of their own blood.
Andres has lost one body point! He has 2 body points remaining!

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by joseph on Tue Mar 13, 2012 11:42 am

Andres was on his knees, shocked. He wiped the glass shards off his face. His hand. Red. Blood. Is this... MY blood? Andres screamed in terror. At this point, Ferrus didn't matter. The food didn't matter. The only thing Andres was concerned with was making Drako experience hell. Andres rose from the ground with his maniacal smile completely out in the open. With a stomp of his foot, Andres froze the ground, creating fissures in the ground, and with one smooth motion of his arm, he brings the entire battlefield up and out of the audience's direct view. Ferrus was out of sight. The roast was out of sight. There was nothing but him and the Nekros in sight. With that, Andres rushed towards Drako. He unarmed the Nekros, throwing both scythes into the bare ground beneath them, pinning Drako by both arms and head butted him. The impact of the blow shattered the stain glass flooring where Drako's head lay. [First Action][Psychic Powers]

Andres' makeshift battlefield in the sky was fragile. He knew that, and it was safe to assume that Drako assumed the same. It was nothing Andres couldn't fix with his powers, but he knew it would also be in Drako's disadvantage if he were fighting on unstable terrain. With that knowledge, Andres made his move. Andres skated towards the Nekros, blasting him with ice before passing him, pivoting at the edge of the skyward arena and repeating the attack. Andres was provoking Drako, right into the palm of his hand. When Drako fell for the bait, rushing with Andres as he continued his attack pattern, Andres slightly thawed the ice beneath Drako's foot, causing slippage to occur. As Drako's upper body began its move to meet with the floor, Andres took advantage of the momentum and threw a solid counter punch square in the Nekros' jaw. [Second Action][Psychic Powers]

The moon witnessed the fight from a much closer range than the crowd beneath them could. Ferrus was out of sight and out of mind. Carnage was the only thing Andres had in mind. Andres planted both feet into the ground and tore the ice under him, digging both hands into his icy battlefield. His arm glowed its familiar, ethereal blue. With a yell and a swift motion, Andres pulled his hands out of the ground, pulling with him a humongous ice golem, at least three times Drako's size. The behemoth motioned towards Drako, who tried to detain it, only to prove futile. With speed that was greatly disproportionate in size, the colossus began its genocide, relentlessly crashing its heavy appendages onto the Nekros. [Third Action][Psychic Powers][Desecrator]

The Nekros was on his knees. Andres walked towards the worn out Drako. Andres grabbed him by the neck and held him in the air. He walked to the edge of his arena, with the audience beneath them. Gently, Andres' fingers slipped, softly allowing Drako to plummet violently into the bare ground under them. With one final move, Andres took his arena and compressed it into a small ball of frozen aura. On his descent, Andres threw the ball of energy towards Drako, creating a small explosion of vapor and ice. Walking out of the smoke was a fatigued Andres, ready to call it a day and reap his winnings. The maniacal smile had dissipated; he was back in the presence of Ferrus, after all. Andres took the moment to bathe in his cheers while waiting to see if Drako would rise once more. [Fourth Action][Psychic Powers]

Alice pressed her lips together as she glanced between the two men. She would hate to be on the receiving end of such an intense stare, yet she might prefer it to staying in the company of this new man. He had this level inhumanness to him, it was impossible to read anything off him.(Her back tensed slightly at Camberlain's words. 'Two of them?' The idea of two of the unsettling man was… well… a little unsettling.) Alice narrowed her eyes slightly. She didn't like that she couldn't predict how any interactions with him would lead.

      If he would say something…

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by Reaper on Fri Mar 16, 2012 1:49 am

Drako was far beyond determined to win this fight. Fighting was clouding his mind as he felt the metallic taste of blood slip into his mouth. He was afraid of nothing and that exactly how he acted. Getting off the ground he grabbed his scythe. The shards ice as well as the floor was now his playground. Running up to the Cytherea to with Scythe dragging behind him making a line in the floor as he went pulled it with all his strength into a forward motion missing Andre within inches. But his plan was never to hit him on the way up but on the way back down. Swinning down onto the Cytherea's shoulder with the blade resting along his back. Continuing to go forward he pulled the scythe towards him and within the next moment firmly planned his knee into the bloody face of his opponent. [First Action][Soul of the Sword]

Leaving Andre, Drako began to use his scythe to chip away at the floor beneath him. Taking pebble size pieces from the floor he collected them in hand. Without a moment lost he tossed them at the Wounded Cytherea. Each one exploding on impact. But this wasn't enough. Taking his scythe he cut a whole into the ground about 3 feet by 3 feet into the ice. Removing it from the ground put his scythe down because of the sheer weight of the ice. Walking over Drako smashes the ice block over the head of Andre. Catching the blood already flowing painting the ice red as he goes down for a second and third hit eventually resting it next to the body . [Second Action]

Reaching into the opponents mouth with his right glove covered hand, Drako takes a grip of the top of him mouth with his palm facing the roof of his mouth. Dragging him a couple feet for good measure, Drako takes a moment to breathe before lifting in a circular motion ,his whole body like a rag doll, up and over where Drako ,ready for this forced the rest of his arms movement straight huddling towards the ground. Landing the body, head first into the ground below him. The Cythereas body slumped down to be resting on his chest. [Third Action]

Now a couple feet away from his scythe. Drako picked up the ankle of Andre and dragged him a couple feet leaving the ice/snow to scrape off the blood of his face. Reaching for his scythe he looked back at the Cytherea. He moved around to his head and firmly planned his foot on the back of it. Obviously not intending to be lain that way the head moved to the side. Reajusting Drako set up andrea's head like a crochet ball. Drako swung down into the face of his enemy with finesse as to make sure to hit him right across the middle of his nose right where the cheek bones are located. [Fourth Action]Soul of the Sword][Desecrater]

Finally remembering his jackal was still in the fight called him over. Having the jackal pick andre up by the foot presented the Cytherea like a piñata and that is exactly how Drako treated him. Bashing him back and forth and watching him as he would sway side to side with every hit. The seriousness of battle was lifted a little as Drako began to clobber him with the scythe. [Fifth Action][Soul of the Sword][Pet]

Andres
Attack: 25
Drako
Attack: 27

Once more, the two men stood across the fray, panting profusely, each one dripping sweat and blood. The battlefield was a mess. Large chunks of ice lay motionless all about the scarred dirt ground. The slush on the floor was no longer a virgin white, but a grotesque crimson that had been shed from both Andres and Drako. The sky darkened, and suddenly, flakes of snow rained over the crowd. Drako had a smirk on his face. He knew the tide had turned in his favor, and his resilience had left him blind to all indications of pain from his body. Suddenly, his vision faded, and Drako staggered backward. While the Nekros ignored the yearnings of his body, it was still undeniable that the battle had taken its toll on him. He dropped to his knees for a moment of rest. The red floor was the first thing that greeted Drako as he regained his eyesight. He had lost a lot of blood, and he knew that the pure exhaustion he felt wouldn't allow him to continue much longer. He rose to his feet and stared his enemy down. One final assault was all the Nekros had left in him; but one final assault was all he needed.

Andres, too, had been ignoring the signs of his body. Blood practically gushed out of his mouth with each troubled breath he managed to take. He swayed in place to keep balanced on his feet in the hopes that his opponent would not see his weakness. He had fought hard, harder than he had in a very long time, he thought. The man in front of him was a very worthy opponent. As the Nekros fell to his knees, Andres perked up. Had he done it? Was the pig all his? He took a few steps forward to survey, but in doing so, felt a horrible piercing pain on the right side of his rib cage. The Cytherean froze in his tracks, holding in his screams of pain. The thought of surrender flashed briefly in Andres' head. Almost on cue came a faucet of blood that sprung out of his mouth and onto the floor. Surrender was impossible, he resolved. He had sacrificed too much, and worked too hard to get this far and quit. The Nekros rose to his feet. Both men stared each other down. Through their cold glares, each one could see right through the other. The pain, the exhaustion, it was all told in the eyes. Both men knew that this was their last stand. The crowd had been in an uproar for the majority of the fight, and now was hysterical, but neither combatants bothered to notice. The wind whistled eerily as the snow continued to fall, blanketing the battlefield with a fresh sheet for one final round of battle.
Andres has lost one body! He has one body point remaining!

This was it, and the crowd knew it. Bets skyrocketed to upwards of 10,000 buxxors, and the butcher stood in the crowd, a wide grimace on his giant face. As the two men staggered towards each other, the audience fell into an anticipatory silence. While the heat of battle pervaded through each of the assaults prior, none of them had felt quite like this. The energy was electric in each of the audience; so much so, that they could barely stand in place. The feeling was like watching lottery numbers called, and 4 out of 5 of them were on the ticket they had. The beautiful model reaches into the spinning bucket and pulls out one final number. She turns it toward herself to see what it is, then, before turning it towards the camera, time stops a moment, and all of one's senses disappear. This was that moment.
Combat Continued! Final Round!

J' sighed. "That young lady is taking forever. I do hope she didn't get lost in the crowd. Commander I apologize for the actions of my... adjutant staff. I assure you the inconvenience of their absence won't detract from the briefing. We may begin at your leisure."

A high voice broke Joy out of her daze. "Oh! Uh..... Hi," Joy said as she awkwardly extended her hand. The bags were throwing her off balance, but she didn't care too much, Sareena's attitude was contagious. Joy politely smiled back at Sareena, "My name is Joy." Joy clutched her elbow feeling a bit embarrassed for not being fully aware of her surroundings. "Sorry," she apologized to Sareena, "I couldn't help but admire your city."

Drako knew the end was near. It was the fight to the end now and whomever won this last clash would be the victor. Using his scythe to stand up he staggers over Andre. The blood was dripping down his face more profusely this time but that didn't matter. Getting close to Andre Drako only reacted. Swinging his head back he flung his head forward into a headbutt against the hard head of the Cytherea. The clash made a sound sending both of them back several feet. [First action]

Building up stream Drako forcing every muscle to move with sheer might moves the bladed behind Andre and pulls him close this time into his fist. With each pull a fist was waiting for he face to say hello personally. [Second Action][Soul of the sword]

Removing the scythe Andre staggered backwards and fell down onto the floor. Looking at the chunk of ice that he, Drako, had made to hit Andre over the head with gave him an idea. Stabbing the back side of the scythe into it and getting it stuck creating a hammer like weapon. Swinging into around the momentum carried it along with the weight. This time Drako swung it at Andre who was getting up off the ground. Hitting him right in the head. [Third Action][Soul of the sword]

Shattering the end peice Drako began to kick Andre mercilessly with his boots. Blood began to stain them a dark crimson color. The fire burned in his eyes as he was getting around to kicking more and more. [Fourth action]

Moving back from Andre a good distance Drako had one last move up his sleave. Running up and using his scythe as a pullvalt Drako launched himself into the air. Continuing to hold onto the Scythe he swung it around in midair and aimed it at Andre. Crashing down upon Andre's chest Drako's scythe swung down just above Andre's head and sunk down into the ground only to be stopped when the poll had finally reached the Cythereas head. [Fifth Action][Soul of the Sword]

Re: Campaign: Requiem

Andres staggered to a corner of the makeshift arena. He was swaying in fatigue. He couldn't hear anything beyond the relentless roar of the crowd. His nose, which isolated the scent of the roast pig at first, now has zoned everything out and smells nothing but the scent of Drako's blood. His mouth that once watered for a meal now craves for a taste of Nekrós blood. His vision was getting fuzzy; he couldn't make out faces, and Ferrus could have been any one of those faces in the crowd. Andres saw one thing clearly, however—his target, clear as day, standing in front of him, suffering from the numerous blows they exchanged. How long had they been fighting? Minutes? Hours? Days? Time and all life around them seemed to have stopped for the two of them. There was no way of knowing for sure. Andres, whose injuries feel like they have been haunting him for years, was ready to just stop if he so willed it. But the rage he had inside, the pent-up aggression, the irritation from fatigue, the recent sparks that blew up the powder keg, everything that happened in his painful past and murky present kept him from falling.

Andres looked up. His natural affinity towards ice gave him an unnatural sense of knowing whether or not there would be any precipitation. From the sky, a single snowflake fell, followed by many of its kind. Andres felt it. The desire to fight. No. The need to fight. To win. To survive. The snowflake fell to the ground, a single drop of white on the red battlegrounds. Andres began his final onslaught.

Andres took out the blade he keeps in his arm. Gripping the handle with both hands, Andres let his psychic aura shroud the blade. The bright blue light soon took form and solidified into a broadsword made completely of ice with the blade as the base. In one swift motion, Andres rushed to Drako and swung. The two exchanged blows as the sound of metal colliding onto ice leaked through the flood of cheers. A forceful swing knocked Drako's scythe out of his hands, and Andres took advantage of the few seconds Drako had unarmed. Andres jumped back, gathering some psychic energy from his depleting supply into his sword. The blade glowed a fluorescent blue, and with a two-handed swing, Andres shot a burst of icy aura in the shape of a crescent blade, sending Drako flying. [First Action] [Psychic Powers] [Weapon Connection]

Drako drifted far from the crowd and began to make some considerable distance from the original battlefield. Just as planned, Andres thought to himself. Andres recalled a comic he once read whilst surveying the abandoned structures of an empty city. The comic told stories of a group of gifted individuals that fought for justice and acceptance into society, fighting off their gifted counterparts who accepted themselves as outcasts and therefore fought against the society that refused to accept them. Among the group of "heroes" was a sole individual, who, like Andres, controlled ice. With that in mind, Andres began to make ice from his hands, propelling him into the air. As soon as he was at an ideal altitude, Andres began to form an icy road in the air. A narrow road formed through the air as Andres skated on it towards Drako, whose descent was rapidly growing. Andres jumped from his path and right under Drako, landing a bicycle kick right on the Nekrós and into his icy structure in the air. [Second Action] [Psychic Powers]

The impact of the Nekrós into Andres' path left the icy structure crumbling, collapsing around Drako as he fell to the ground. With the numerous crumbled pieces of ice around him, Andres landed at the point of impact. He staggered a bit, his injuries catching up to him. He wasn't done yet, however. Each of the broken pieces of ice that fell with Drako transformed into crystalline wolves. In one fell swoop, all the wolves lunged at Drako, bursting into small, countless explosions of ice and water vapor. [Third Action] [Psychic Powers] [Desecrator]

Once the wolves finished their attack, Drako sprang back, hoping to gain some distance to regain his footing and understanding of the situation. Once he was back up, however, he was surrounded by an icy mist. There was little visibility, and the seemed... heavy. Drako warily kept his guard up on all sides, getting himself ready to defend against an invisible enemy. Then, a hard force hit Drako on his left side. Immediately, Drako swung his arm, only to swipe nothing but air. Then again, something hit him, this time on his right side. Drako once again retaliated, getting nothing but a handful of the mist he was shrouded in. Before Drako could put his guard back up, a hard blue light flashed towards Drako's abdomen, striking him hard with a cold, metal appendage. Immediately Drako went flying back in the direction of the crowd, who had been sitting for half a minute, watching the carnage from afar. Drako fell facefirst in his own frozen pool of destruction as Andres returned to the center of the ring, worn out and fatigued. [Fourth Action] [Psychic Powers]

Drako
Attack: 26

Andres
Attack: 26

The crowd roared as the titans smashed brutally against one another, each in a desperate attempt to topple the other. Style was no longer a part of the equation for either in the skirmish. It had degraded into a fight in its rawest sense. A desperate, primal, messy cluster of blood, sweat, pain, and sacrifice. The carnage of the battlefield was a prime example of Andres' and Drako's plight. Enormous chunks of ice laid motionless on one side, slowly getting covered by the falling snow with each passing second. Sickle-sized gashes scarred the dirt ground. The remains of dishes, pots, and pipes scattered the surrounding area, and were now also becoming one with the snow. Blood painted the land a haunting shade of red. The Nekros and Cytherean stood at either side, knowing this last assault would be their last. Drako charged forward first, kicking up a heap of snow as he began his sprint. Andres reacted by sprinting forward to meet the Nekros half way. The crowd roared violently as the two sped towards each other; they could feel the climactic end was upon them. The two men charged, each with an arm locked and loaded for that one final strike, the defining blow that would put an end to his enemy. Time slowed, then stopped, as the two came within arm's length. Drako and Andres met eyes. In the other's, they could see a passion, a passion for warfare, a passion for blood. They also saw desperation, desperation in the moment. At a normal time, either of the men would have read the latter as a sign of weakness, but with the given circumstances, desperation was understandable. Beneath those traits, however, the men noticed one final emotion. Hatred. Hatred for one's enemy, not in any personal sense, but in the pure fact that they were his enemy. The two looked within themselves. A plethora of thoughts flashed before them as they stood, motionless, breathing down the other's neck. The first thought in each of them was the systematic mutilation of their current opponent. Drako kept a straight face as he thought, but Andres couldn't help but crack a smile. Suddenly, their thoughts turned sour, from being the victor to being the victim. Andres imagined what it would be like to die to Drako. He imagined pieces of him pouring out of his stomach and spilling onto the floor as the Nekros reached at him, his arm ungloved, ready to consume his being. He imagined the feeling of one in such a position, essentially begging to be taken so as to end the agony of mutilation. Followed up with the helplessness of being forever subordinate to the captor. It was a disgusting and humiliating death, indeed. In the same instance, Drako imagined his own death to the Cytherean. He imagined his mouth being forced open and Andres reaching inside, slowly freezing his organs, but preserving the heart and brain, to allow him to bear witness as each part of his frost-bitten entrails shut down inside him. He imagined going limp to the effects of the frostbite, and at the brink of death, detonating into a rain of blood and meat and excrement over his opponent as Andres melted the water in his frozen cells. The thought was morbid, to say the least. Suddenly, the two men came out of stasis, their arms each cocked back at the ready. Simultaneously, the men swung in, landing a hard-knuckled strike square in the other's jaw, ringing out the noise of a thunderous clap. The crowd fell silent as the two teetered backward, and synchronously met the ground with a hard thud. There was a moment of silence as the two warriors lay motionless in the snow, and then an uproar. Some complained about a rigged fight, others fought for their bets to stand. Most cheered in appreciation of the show.

Andres and Drako awoke to the smell of food a few moments later. They were sitting across from each other, with their companions at their side. In front of them was the great fire that irradiated heat, and above it, the mutant pig. On the floor next to each of them on a plate was a large piece of roasted pig. The spoils of victory. They had each fought hard, and earned their piece.
Andres and Drako have each regained 1 body!

Rewards:
DOUBLE KO +1 GP to Andres and Drako for making an epic battle come to an epic conclusion.

Overcompensate +1 GP to Andres for making the fight seem like an anime fight at times.

Clean and Simple +1 GP to Drako for keeping calk and collected while being barraged by a menagerie of ice attacks and not feeling the need to 1-up the post with an out of characteresque psychic attack of his own.

Winner, winner, lechon dinner +1 GP to Andres and Drako for “winning” the fight.

Sareena smiled, her gaze wandering off as Joy spoke of New Sparta. “Yes, New Sparta is quite the awe-inspirer for tourists,” she took a deep breath in, as if to say the city were a part of her. “What exactly are you--” suddenly, the guards cut her off. “Sorry, Sareena, but we have to escort the guest into the briefing room ASAP.” They motioned to Joy to follow behind as the two began to walk towards the front gate of the headquarters. “Oh, alright then,” remarked Sareena, trailing behind Joy as she followed the guards. “So what exactly does the military need you to do,” she asked, her tone continuously upbeat. Joy shrugged. “They haven’t told me yet. Something about mapping out an area on Earth.” The two strolled into the briefing room, which was, by now, a madhouse of soldiers scrambling for gear. The soldiers that escorted Joy motioned for her to join the Kypris and the Harbinger standing in front of the Commander in the center of the room. Sareena followed in-step. At the sight of the girl, Chamberlain glared at the Bravo Team soldiers at his side. “Escort the civilian out of the premises.” Almost robotically, they did so, and in seconds, their ranks had diminished by three. “It was nice meeting you, Jo-” yelled Sareen back to the group as the doors closed in front of her. J’, Alice, and Joy stood in front of the towering Chamberlain, his scowl an immediate juxtaposition to Joy’s mood. As the Commander opened his mouth to speak, a soldier on the far end of the room yelled over to him. “Commander! T-minus 15 minutes.” The Commander, looked around a moment, and fixed his eyes on a soldier in the room. “Lieutenant! Front, center.” The man joined the ranks of the group. He was young, much younger than Chamberlain, with short brown hair. He couldn’t have been out of his twenties. His face seemed much more welcoming than the Commander’s, and he even wore a smile as he scanned over the guests’ faces. “Yes, sir?” His tone seemed laid back with the Commander, as though they had been together in service quite some time. “Brief them on the mission. I need to fix the specs on my weapon before we drop.” The Lieutenant saluted him, and he left the room. Alice couldn’t help but admire the old-style harbinger rifle he brandished. Although it was now out of commission and much less efficient than the current, it was odds and ends more aesthetically pleasing. The fluorescent lighting above glinted on the blade as Chamberlain walked out of the room. The harbinger couldn’t help notice the engraving. “Betty,” it read, in capital cursive script letters. The Lieutenant smiled at the group. “What’s up guys, I’m Lieutenant Reinor Gatts, second in command of Charlie Company. He didn’t seem exceptionally strong, especially compared to the other members of Charlie company in the room. He was lanky, short, and his uniform was unkempt compared to those of his comrades, and was grayed in comparison. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and his hands were covered in grease. On his hip rested a single 15-round pistol clipped to his belt. “I’m guessing you guys have no idea what we’re doing here today, huh?” He chuckled a bit, scanning the blank faces of the three.

Awaking from the long fight all he sees in front of him is the large roast pig. Grabbing at it without thinking twice, he begins to dig into the flesh of the giant boar. The hurt body didn't even matter anymore all that mattered was the perfectly prepared meat in front of him. It slid down his throat and it was as if he was in heaven. After a full plateful he wondered if he had lost the fight and this was just a pity meal. Finally noticing the Cytherea across from him he said "congrats" thinking he had won.

Andres' guard was up the second he woke up. He looked around. Drako across from him with a plate of pork. A cozy fire. People around them talking. The Jackal at Drako's side, and Ferrus at his. Things seemed serene, and Andres put his guard down. Ferrus tapped Andres' shoulder and motioned towards the plate of hefty pork next to him. But wait... that guy... Andres thought, but he instinctively scarfed down the roast pig, almost finishing his meal before he offers some to Ferrus. Andres caught the Nekrós in front of him congratulating him, but he didn't feel like a winner. In fact, he felt like he lost the match. "Shouldn't I be congratulating you?" Andres asked with a mouthful of meat in his mouth.
