I'm glad you did. To be honest, I somehow was able to understand your drunk post, but I wasn't too fond of the stuff you did. In honesty, it seemed a little lackluster. But your revised post is one of the best combats I've seen, actually. If I were awarding flair, your first action would've gotten a 3, your second would've gotten a 4 (Andres' thought at the end made me literally laugh out loud), and your last action, if it weren't desecrator, would've gotten 5. Which I think I've given like once or twice only...

Yeah, my writing deteriorates when I'm not completely aware of what I'm writing. Regardless, I'm completely sober, and I wrote it whilst keeping in mind that I wrote an entire combat post drunk and that regardless of the outcome of that round, I needed to seriously make up for that post >________> Hah, but that's quite an honor. Let's hope that the damage is consistent with the description Razz

Your Desecrator combat post... oh god, it's one of those things where you read a description and you can feel the pain in your head, like imagining nails to a chalkboard. Oh lord Onoez

Post by joseph on Tue Mar 13, 2012 11:48 am

Good shit, now the match can go either way.

So I can't quite judge the quality of my combat post accurately, because a) I'm typing from class and b) I'm typing from my iPod. So I'll probably come back for it and make a couple revisions in a couple hours. Regardless, this is gonna be interesting.

On another note, where are the bets taking place, at a table near the fight, or being adjudicated by one guy nearby or something?

All over the place really. Your guys can basically see hands with balls of cash jutting out of the crowd and making bets.

Re: Requiem Discussion

Post by joseph on Tue Mar 13, 2012 9:38 pm

Hey Matthew, how does something like this sound to you? Regardless of who gets the knockout blow, we do some move that launches one of us into the crowd, nabbing as much Buxxors as we can possibly carry, and into the butcher, hopefully knocking him out while the other goes and grabs meat. Then we book it out of town with whatever we got.

...Of course, if it's cool with Mario. We can Success Roll to see how much we can get, but however much we end up with, we get out and move onto whatever Mario has planned for us.

And I guess I can, it's not like I keep it with me Razz I dunno, I was feeling creative, psychic powers don't have much limitation, and it's not like it stuck around. After pummeling you, it was like "Yo Andres I'm tired, I'mma melt and see you later, don't call me". I mean, if it had a free will, then it could have. But since it doesn't, well... yeah.

...I mean, it took a lot for Andres to make it, so consider it a last-ditch effort.

Re: Requiem Discussion

Post by Reaper on Tue Mar 13, 2012 9:44 pm

haha I'm down.
In reality i can see my character doing that just fine. I mean the initial plan was for the jackal to get the meat as we fought but mario had it come over to me in battle.
I can see you throwing me into the crowd and getting knocked out. When i regain consciousness i grab the money and simply disappears out of sight when the crowd looks around for him. then you get the meat.
we can talk within blows or something.

Re: Requiem Discussion

Post by joseph on Tue Mar 13, 2012 9:57 pm

Thing is, though, lord knows how long you'd be unconscious for. By the time one of us wakes up, everyone will probably have collected their winnings, and the meat would probably be gone by then.

So how about one of us tosses us into butcher, grabs Buxxors and meat on the way, then we grab the other and bolt it out of town.

We'll see how we can work it out.

Re: Requiem Discussion

Post by joseph on Tue Mar 13, 2012 10:00 pm

Uhhhh..... I think that would be up to Mario. What I assume is 1 is an absolute fail, where we have to fight a Horde off Cassii, and 10 would be a perfect success, where the butcher is KO'd, we get like 3000 Buxxors and all the meat, and no one dares oppose us. Anything in between would be like some Buxxors and some meat, maybe a little opposition. Who knows, we'll see Surprised

Re: Requiem Discussion

I figure during the knockout blow, one of us would quietly relay the plan to the other before throwing the other into the audience. Ferrus/Jackal would just play it by ear; the two have pretty similar thought process to Andres/Drako respectively, so they'd figure it out pretty quickly.

Yeah I'm fine if you want to try your luck catching floating buxxors while flying through the air, but the butcher won't be going down no matter what you do. I was about to assert his badassery in the post he was introduced in by having him spit on the ground and have his spit corrode the floor, hence the reason he can keep order.

Damn, alright. So yeah Matthew, I guess whoever loses gets to pocket some Buxxors. So if it weren't for the fact that we were both hungry, this would be a win-win situation.

Awww man. I'm rereading my post and I really thought I saluted him.
I guess not... orz

Speaking of saluting, can anyone give me a quick run down of when it's appropriate to salute (even if it's significant in the grand scheme of things)?
