Scenario
The enormous space colony of New Sparta was one of the first prototype cities to be launched into the atmosphere in the dawn of the Nuclear War. Although heavy modifications on the designs of newer space colonies have rendered the city's generation and sustainability capacity insufficient, most of the newer technological advancements came about as the result of models based directly off the machines powering New Sparta, even to this date. The city boasts itself as the longest-termed floating colony still in service, making it a monument of sorts, and is home to approximately 15 million Julius. What is probably most impressive about New Sparta, and also what gave name to the colony itself, is its highly efficient and organized army, split thrice into specific factions. Members of Alpha company deal with matters happening within the colony itself. The police force of New Sparta and security personnel for VIPs in the city are included into this faction. Alpha company is also named as such because of their role as first responders given an emergency situation within the colony. Bravo company deals with all matters with the extended Julius population. This includes all matters of trade between New Sparta and other space colonies, as well as all negotiations done with Julius dwelling below Earth's surface. Charlie company members are, by far, the most hardened, and adequate members of the army. The team's role, while admittedly the least active faction of the three, is to deal with any and all matters pertaining to Cassius conflict, including engaging the Cassius on the Earth's surface, and at times even accompanying Bravo company when they are sent to hostile territory for trade with Julius beneath the surface. The commander of the group is a former Harbinger by the name of Brick Chamberlain, whose training of the current Charlie team has provided the faction with not a single logged casualty in the last 14 consecutive missions.

For days the city monitored the movements of the local Cassius population in the Northern tip of what was once the Canadian Shield. The area had mostly been long-since abandoned, and at any normal rate, would receive only the occasional Cassius wanderer or Brutus hunter scavenging for whatever morsel of mutant animal that roamed the irradiated and snow-laden forestry. Two weeks ago, an alert from one of Charlie team's many drone scanners logged a remarkable spike in heat detection in one specific sector of the area. Upon analysis of the area, New Sparta discovered a peculiar Cassius migration comprised roughly of 5,000 individuals converging rapidly to the site, with more Cassius flooding in steadily as the days wore on. Several theories sprung up about the migration. The most accepted theory was that of a conjoined Cassius conspiracy to assault the Julius population of the tiny Brutus/MacGyver dwelling Forgoza (population <1000) located roughly a mile from the convergence. Yesterday, in a hush from the general population of the city, rumors of a new theory with supposedly at least one reliable source proliferated through the halls of the colony council, as well as the barracks of the military headquarters, especially those of Charlie Company. As Chamberlain explained the situation to his men, the words “The Gazebo” sent the normally-disciplined and in-line Charlie company into a fluster of cheers and roars. It was their duty to investigate the rumor, and if, by chance, the rumor was true, the 147-man team would be solely responsible for delivering it into the hands of the Julius. The King of the Universe, however, felt it necessary to send along one of his personal guards to aid Charlie team in the endeavor. Alice, a flourishing young Harbinger was selected randomly as the king’s scout, his way of saying he had a hand in the Gazebo’s deliverance. All that was left was having a Julius knowledgeable of the area. Dropping into the colony of Forgoza seemed risky, as its nearby location would most likely alert the Cassius of the Julius presence. After scouring the nearby dwellings of the MacGyver/Brutus colonies, Bravo Team happened upon Joy Zhenyi, a MacGyver, as well as her Kypris liaison, a man who affirmed his name as J’, who resided in a colony not too far off the East of the Shield. With Joy and J’ on their way to new Sparta, Charlie Company prepared themselves for their mission, one that could potentially be the most important operation in the history of the Julius military.

Chapter One

Ferrus kept in-step with Andres as they trudged through the grayed and heavy slush. They had been walking now for 4 days straight, only stopping to sleep and for the occasional bathroom break for the sake of preserving dignity, but other than that, the two made no stops or divergence. Neither had eaten since their journey began, but this wasn't an uncommon occurrence, especially not in these days, and in this part of the world. It was cold, even for Andres, whose psychic specialization in cryokinesis allowed him a much higher tolerance for cold temperatures. Every now and then, regret and doubt would flush Andres' thoughts to the point where he had to stop walking a moment just to gather himself. How, exactly did Ferrus know where they were going? And where exactly was that place? Was Andres just blindly following a man who, himself, did not know where to go? It was very easy to get lost in this kind of area. The flat land with a heavy blanket of snow dotted with countless groups of trees that all seemed identical could lead one to believe they were walking straight, when really they had just walked a full circle. Or vice versa. Still, Andres followed his friend. But at this point, he wasn't so sure why.

Post by joseph Sat Feb 25, 2012 5:43 pm

Thick, white sheets have cloaked what would have been otherwise barren land. The sky was dark; there were no stars that could provided any sort of navigation. All the trees looked the same. Behind the two figures walking sullenly yet ardently were nothing but the footprints they left behind. And in front of them, nothing more but a wide, frozen path lined by mere trees. It was hard to tell if the two had been walking in circles the whole time, footprints could have been easily filled by the falling snow over the course of the past few days. The same question has been floating in Andres' head for the past four days, and now he's beginning to wonder if Ferrus is thinking the same thing: Where the hell are we?

Andres followed Ferrus like a dog would follow a hunter. The back of this man showed no signs that he could point out. He couldn't tell any sort of confidence, any sign of certainty from the back of his head. Yet, Andres felt like he didn't need it. The past months Andres had spent time hunting with Ferrus, living with Ferrus, gaining Ferrus' trust and entrusting his own to Ferrus were more than enough to justify Ferrus' actions and intentions. Wherever it was Ferrus was going to go, Andres trusted him. If it had come from anyone else, Andres would have gone back to his own business. Ferrus on the other hand... well, Ferrus is a completely different case, one of the few that Andres could fully trust.

Even so, Andres had a shred of doubt, not in Ferrus but Ferrus' source. The two of them could be in the process of being deceived at that very moment. After all, a dead space like this could easily be the perfect spot for a killing—in an area so cold that even Andres shivers, exploiting weaknesses wouldn't be that hard. There was no one in sight for miles, the ease of being able to hide bodies, everything could play into someone's hands and the two of them wouldn't even know it. Regardless, Andres follows. The two of them held off wild animals and bandits for months, and that was separated from each other. Imagine what the two could do together, especially in the cold, Andres' niche?

Minutes pass, followed by hours. To break the already awkward silence on an incredibly awkward walk, Andres asks, "You think we're close yet, Ferrus?"

Ferrus was silent for a moment, as if to ponder his answer. He had a sense from Andres' tone that he was beginning to doubt him, if only slightly. "Yes. I do believe so, Andres." His tone, as usual, seemed genuine to Andres, but something in his body language was off. Knowing Ferrus, it was usual of him to turn towards a person when he spoke. A gesture of courtesy he never managed to shake off from before the War. This time, he looked straight ahead into the grey. He seemed to pick up speed at that moment, and broke formation from Andres to walk a few steps ahead. It was silent again, save for the eerie whistle carried by the wind.

The terrain was dark and cloudy, with little to no visibility. How Ferrus would have been able to tell anything in these conditions was beyond Andres' comprehension. The two trudged on, nonetheless. He wasn't used to putting complete trust into anyone, not even himself. He liked the feeling of being able to relax in someone's company. It was just a fairly new concept to him that he needed to adjust to.

With Ferrus so far in front, Andres sped up to meet his pace, only to find himself tailing right behind him. "So tell me," Andres said, hoping to start a light conversation while still being able to retrieve some vital information, "How'd you find information about the Gazebo being in this area? At least, where'd you hear it from?"

Ferrus remained steadfast, plodding recklessly through the thick slush with a great deal of ambition. "A friend of mine told me. His name is Kurrajj, maybe we'll see him when we get there." Again, Ferrus fell silent. He just continued blindly onward, with a will that seemed to not even be his own. Andres' patience was seriously waning. For days, they had not seen a single living being besides themselves. And this Kurrajj character; even just his name sounded like it couldn't be trusted. That was it. For the first time, Ferrus had depleted Andres' tolerance. But at the exact moment he was going to speak up, Ferrus called out to him. "Andres, look there!" Andres peered into the distance. Among the silhouettes of the tall, looming trees were the shadows of two small figures. One was a man, or at least, it looked like one to Andres. Next to the man was the shadow of a rather large animal. It seemed subservient to the man. Ferrus and Andres were able to make out the two figures better as they neared. The man was a Nekros most likely. He wore gloves, a black cloak, and brandished two scythes. Next to him was an undead jackal, which took a defensive stance as the two came closer. The Nekros held a slightly confused expression on his face. Ferrus approached him. "Hello. My name is Ferrus. Are you here looking for the Gazebo, as well?" Drako seemed even more confused.

Drako was confused as the sound of people rang across the cold winter air at him. The cold chilled him to the bone through his thick robe. Looking over at his Jackal as if to get conformation that it really did happen he looked back at the strangers. Drako thought to himself and quickly decided that the best thing to do is to remain quiet. The two men who were now closing him on him. The cold air and silence amplified the sound of the two men trudging through the snow towards him. Soon enough the men were close enough to see the details of their faces. His Jackal bore his teeth at the men but quickly Drako silenced him with a motion of the hand. "My name is Drako. I don't know about any Gazebo but where exactly are we." He retorted.

At the sight of the Nekrós, Andres shifted into a battle position. He had his hand on his left arm, ready to turn off the stabilizer that keeps his powers in check and ready to battle. But as soon as Ferrus offers a friendly greeting, Andres is confused. "Ferrus...? What are you doing? He could be after something!" Andres was well aware of Drako's status as a Cassius, but he had a general distrust of everyone. After seeing Ferrus with his guard down, Andres reluctantly lowered his as well. "You don't know where you are? How'd you get here?" Although Andres' guard was down, his suspicions were as high as ever.

Seeing the suspicious Cytherea act so causiously put Drako on guard but knowing his giant Jackal was a the ready at any time put him at ease. He didn't particularly like the conversation he was having but he was still at the disadvantage of not knowing where he is. Answering back " I just happened to be lost thats all. Obviously I walked through the snow." He pointed at his footprints that lead through the tries in one direction. "Personally I was just looking for some place to eat and rest."

The cabin of Bravo Team's space shuttle rattled violently during its initial take-off. It was a small vessel, with only 4 passenger seats, faced inward towards each other, and the two pilot seats segregated in the front cockpit. The cabin was cramped and the seats were uncomfortable, especially for the lack of leg room for four people, in which there were. Two of the passengers looked fairly identical, and bore uniforms with the same likeness and cream color of the seats and walls of the shuttle's interiors. Across from them sat a pair that looked completely out of place. The man seemed to scowl, even if unintentionally, over at the soldier sitting across from him. The woman braced her chair for dear life, it was clear the initial turbulence had shaken her slightly. After a few minutes of silence, the pilot's voice came on over the intercom. "We should be arriving in New Sparta on schedule in about 10 minutes." Once again there was silence.

Suddenly, a bright streak of light flashed across the sky. A shooting star, or perhaps some Julius shenanigans. Either way, it had caught Ferrus' attention. Without saying a word he walked towards the direction it was moving in. Slowly, at first, then at a brisk jog, and finally, a full-on sprint. It was incredible how much pent up stamina he had on reserve, having not stopped or eaten in days. Andres followed behind as quickly as he could, with Drako and the jackal on their tale. The wind gusted violently against their bodies, whistling loudly into the grey. Ferrus barreled through the forestry, weaving in and out of the natural path cut by the sturdy and long-forgotten trees that resided in this area, until finally, the three hit a clearing. Off in the distance were the countless silhouettes of people, that blended together to almost make a giant blob in the horizon, a juxtaposition to the whitish snowy ground. Voices carried softly from the crowd. Mostly men, some women, and a few dottings of the voices of children. Along with the voices came the smell of food. Roasted meat, fire wood, charred herbs, the scents were enough to make Andres' legs quiver. Ferrus smiled. "It seems we have arrived," he said as he marched toward the crowd. Drako and Andres followed closely in-step.

"So, is your name really J--" the soldier stared hard at his notes from the mission briefing. "Apostrophe...?" J' sighed and didn't answer. He didn't feel as though the question deserved one. The sooner he was done with the stupid mission the better. In truth, he knew he wasn't necessarily needed and it wasn't at all mandatory for him to go, but he felt an obligation to accompany Joy. He knew she had never been to a space colony before, and, judging from her reaction to some simple air turbulence, his decision to escort her was not an unwise one. Joy, sitting next to J', was petrified. She worried of the many things that could possibly go wrong with the shuttle before it reached New Sparta, and imagined the feeling of what it was like to explode. She tried to keep her mind off it. Her attempts to do so caused her to daydream heavily on the modifications she would give this piece of crap shuttle if given the choice. First would be the God-awful cum-stain white they painted everything. Then would probably be some sort of stabilizer to reduce turbulence. Her mind trailed off until she remembered she was here to do a job. Exactly what it was, she was still unsure. She knew the colony needed help with locating something, but she wasn't yet told what it was, or where it was, so in truth, Joy felt unsure that she was even any help at all. 'Oh well,' she thought to herself. 'We'll all find out sooner or later.'

Meanwhile, the headquarters of the New Spartan military was busy with members from all three factions scrambling around the room. The facility echoed with the mighty commands of officers, the shouts of obedient soldiers, and the peace talk of negotiators, which all blended together to make a rich, energetic babble. Alice stepped into the room, having just arrived from the Palace of the King of the Universe. She was completely ignored by those inside. Everyone seemed so busy. She remembered her orders to seek out the man with a beam rifle once she arrived at the headquarters. Peering into the flurry of soldiers, Alice noticed a rather large man on the other side of the room, staring at a computer screen mounted to the wall. Resting on a sling over his shoulder was unmistakably a Harbinger Beam Rifle.

Andres was about to say something, only to be cut off by a running Ferrus. "Ferrus, wait!" Andres yelled to his fleeing comrade, confused. He looked at his friend running into the distance, then looked back at Drako. He sighed and ran after Ferrus, leaving Drako behind.

As Andres chased Ferrus, his senses were assaulted by various things—he smelled scents reminiscent of home, heard a flurry of voices in the distance. He approached the hill where Ferrus stopped. Such a familiar sight, one he hadn't seen in years, if ever. Hardly holding back his mixed emotions, Andres turned to Ferrus and asked him, "Ferrus... where are we?"

The sweet smell of scrumptious food wafted through the air just enough to reach Drako's nose. The bitter cold was instantly forgotten and in its place was replaced with the reminder of his still very empty stomach. He thought to himself "when was the last time I had a proper meal?", this thought was accompanied with the sound of a low rumble coming from with his stomach. His mouth began to salivate almost to the point of a drool. He was entranced by the savory and succulent surprises that may be waiting for him through the crowd of people he was walking through. Regaining consciousness from this food fiesta happening within the confines of his mind he thought to himself where exactly was he as well as why were all these people just waiting out in the middle of this snowy landscape and what exactly was Ferrus talking about when he said "It seems we have arrived". These questions and his growing hunger were putting him on edge. All Drako wanted answers but even more so just something to eat.
Drako decided to wait silently for the man to explain to the Cytherea, who seemed equally perplexed, what exactly was going on.

Post by The J Tue Feb 28, 2012 2:19 pm

J' waited for Joy to get out of the shuttle but she looked like she was having trouble just getting out of the restraints, not to mention retrieving her considerable amount of gear she probably packed for this trip.

"Shall we get underway sir?" Grumbled the soldier escorting J' brusquely.

J' looked back at the shuttle and saw that the other soldier was already headed back to assist her. He figured she'd catch up eventually and so, he headed to camp. They were stopped by the guardsmen posted outside the headquarters. "Identification please." Said the Guard Sergeant bringing his weapon to the ready salute position.

The soldier escorting J' barked his rank, name and titles then stopped and reached for the mission datapad and read off it somewhat awkwardly. "This is Commissar J.. postrophe... chief political officer..."

J' cut him off "Commandant actually, Field Commandant designation J Prime, political liaison, and Casso/Julian relations protocol specialist."

The Sergeant at guard read off the data pad and kept looking quizically back and forth at it and then at J' in his tall collar jacket and shiny red tie.
"The hell we need a bloody diplomat on this trip for? We expect to be going into a war zone! Not a little girly tea party!" The guard glared at J'.

unfazed, J' answered aloofly, "Sergeant, you are aware there there is a possibility of using informants from the Cassius on this mission? Informants that could be going into that same war zone you mentioned with our people. And what do you think people who are used to hating and shooting at each other will do when they break in a war zone?"

"Perish the thought Commandant.." The Sergeant said dryly.

"Perish the thought indeed. But you need not think about such an ugly possibility. that's my job. I'm just here to see to it that our interaction with enemy personnel goes.. as smoothly as possible. I was chosen to assist in this matter because of my experience with this unique situation so if you'll excuse me, I need to be briefed by the base officer."

They stared down at each other a moment more before the guard allowed J' to proceed. J' understood the apprehension in the Sergeant and the not so subtle alterations to his title made when the soldier was presenting him. There was a lot of subtext in the title he was given this mission- "Kypris political liason" usually really meant political officer; A person installed to ensure the loyalty of the leaders in a detachment. They reported directly to the orbital string or the King himself. Certain degrees of telepathic mind reading abilities made them naturals for this sort of role. A field commission as a Commandant made J' even more dangerous as combined with being the political officer, it effectively made him a Political Commissar- who by extension of both positions was authorized among other things to carry out summary trial and execution of anyone found to be disloyal or seditious. The criteria for such punishment was rumoured to be unnervingly vague.

J' was barely noticed squeezing in to the Combat Information Centre where he saw some Harbingers engaging in a mission briefing. He would wait and watch.

"Jerk. He didn't even help me with the bags," Joy muttered to herself as she struggled to pull them out of the cramped shuttle. She was still annoyed from the jarring ride to New Sparta.

"Ma'am, do you require assistance?" said a flat voice behind her. She briskly turned to face the soldier and quickly switched her attitude. "No, that's not necessary," she said as gently as she could, "Thank you, though." She swung the large backpack around onto shoulders, slung on the messenger bag, and hastily picked up the duffel bag. "Lead the way, soldier."

Alice grimaced at the large amount of people she'd have to deal with but carefully stepped into the moving mass of bodies, sidestepping every oncoming person with a slight nod and an "excuse me." If she did manage to bump someone, she was quickly brushed off.
Her waltz of avoidance led her to the side of 'the man with a beam rifle.'
Alice cleared her throat. "Alice Degris, sir. I believe you're expecting me?"

Post by D.N.A. Thu Mar 08, 2012 4:22 pm

The military headquarters was located a block away from the shuttle docking station. Following closely behind the guards, Joy strolled her way passed the bustling city with a menagerie of interestingly-wardrobed civilians cluttering the street, integrated with a flurry of troops scrambling through the main gate of the headquarters building down the road. Joy was astounded. Not only at the enormity of the skyscrapers, but also at the amount of people rushing by. New Sparta certainly was large, she thought privately. The bright artificial lighting emanating from the ceiling high above juxtaposed the dim caverns of her home underground. As she neared the headquarters, rich music pervaded the air. She realized, as she continued walking, that she was coming closer to its source. The guards stopped in front of a young girl siting on a small wooden stool next to a bakery across from the headquarter's gate. She was young, no older than 22. Her apparel made her out to be of lower middle class, clad in a white blouse and a long green skirt, and beige shoes reminiscent of clogs. Her hair was auburn, a color which seemed to radiate in the artificial sun, and was pulled back neatly into a pony tail. Propped up in front of the girl was a remarkably-crafted cello, which seemed centuries old, but still in pristine condition. Although she hadn't exactly seen too many instruments in her time underground, Joy felt it safe to assume that the cello was the source of the music she heard. She caught the girl's name as the guards addressed her. "Good morning, Sareena." "Good morning, boys," replied the girl. She looked over at Joy, who stood one heel behind the guards. "I see you've brought a guest to New Sparta." She stood up and sauntered over to Joy, a welcoming smile accompanying her graceful stride. "What's your name," she asked, in such a gleeful tone that she seemed to almost giggle. "I'm Sareena. Sareena Alridge. It's a pleasure." The way Sareena spoke seemed musical in and of itself. Her cheerful attitude almost forced Joy to become elated, herself.

A soldier in the corner of the briefing room yelled over to the man whose back was still turned to Alice. "T-minus 21 minutes, sir." The man nodded, and slowly turned his rock of a body towards the girl. He was aging, no doubt, but was nowhere near being frail. Scars and wrinkles etched permanently into his face, and his countenance was fixed in a hard, battle-ready scowl. His hair and prickly goatee lining his chizzled jaw were a straight silver, bringing out his piercing green eyes. Draped over his military uniform that matched his fellow soldiers, he donned a large, matching overcoat with a metal commander symbol embedded into the breast pocket. "You must be the Harbinger the King sent. Officer Degris, is it," he spoke in an unhurried manner with a gruff and intimidating tone. "I am Commander Brick Chamberlain, acting Captain of Charlie Team for this mission. You will follow my orders and my orders only, do I make myself clear?" Chamberlain leaned over as he finished speaking, towering over Alice who was clearly more than foot shorter than he was. Alice stuttered. "Y-Yes, sir!" Chamberlain broke his gaze to meet eyes with J' at the entrance of the room. Instinctively, J' marched, almost robotically to Alice's side. Seeing the symbol on the man's coat was introduction enough for the Kypris, which Chamberlain seemed to know. "Aren't there supposed to be two of you," he asked, his stare bearing into J. The Kypris made no eye contact.

Ferrus smiled and turned to the two men at his wings. "We are exactly where we need to be, Andres." His tone was cheerful, and in a way, relieved. Perhaps he could perceive Andres' waning patience with him. It was remarkable, really. The only places containing this dense a population of Cassii were major cities established after-fallout. Detroit, New York, and Cincinnati came to Andres' mind as examples. He was astonished to see so many here, practically in the middle of nowhere. It seemed Ferrus' source was reliable after all; or perhaps he just got around. "Kurrajj" Andres whispered to himself. Maybe he was amongst the crowd. Drako was equally as baffled, perhaps even more so. The last few weeks had been cut from his memory, but it was clear something was driving him, driving him here. What exactly it was, he was still uncertain. The smell of roasting flesh was the matter at hand currently, however. He plodded through the thick slush to the large fire in the center of the crowd, his jackal following in step. Ferrus and Andres tailed him closely. A line of Casii looped tightly around the fire, and at the end, the three men could see it. A roasting mutated pig with two heads and a body several times larger than the normal swine spun lazily over a mighty flame. A rather bulky Cassius with a beer belly, skillet-sized arms, and a small head stood in front with a butcher's cleaver, serving those at the front of the line. The three made their way to the back of the line, which moved rather quickly, and filled up equally as quickly, as Andres noted when he looked behind after being in line about 5 minutes. As they neared, however, they noticed a small sign on the floor. "ROAST PIG. 100 BUXXORS" it read.

"Dammit," Andres whispered to himself as he scrounged up the measly change he had in his pockets. Traveling for days without sustenance clearly had a grave effect on him, and he wasn't ready to leave this place without a bite of food to eat. Even so, at the state he was in, he was in no condition to fight off a meat tank with a cleaver, along with the numerous Cassii around him that could easily detain him. Play it off cool first, Andres thought to himself, Don't stick your nose into anything you can't handle. Looking around, he turned to Ferrus. "You... wouldn't happen to have any spare Buxxors on you, would you?" Andres asked shamefully.

Campaign: Requiem Empty Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by Reaper Thu Mar 08, 2012 10:05 pm

Drako was bewildered still bewildered by the driving force that had gotten him there. It must have been something or someone to draw these people into this wasteland out in the middle of no where. Soon enough though the loud grumbling of hunger rang over any of his thoughts. He would need food soon and fast. Reaching into his pack he found what the remains appear to be 60 buxxors and a couple other personal items. "That won't do" he said to himself.
Now Drako was used to these kinds of situations. He never had much on him and when he did he didn't like to spend it.
He looked over at his jackal and began to pet his head something to the great enjoyment of the jackal. He knew what he had to do but the unfortunate thing is that he didn't enjoy doing it that much because he always felt bad for everyone involved.
He brought the jackal close and whispered "plan h" into ear. The jackal knowing as if instinctively what to do it crept away towards the back of the booth in which the food was.
Now the only thing left to do was up to him. Seeing the Cytherea in front of him in the line, talking to Ferrus asking him to help him in his own money troubles, he thought there wouldn't be a better target to start with. Taking a moment to collect himself and looked around for a good escape route. "Its now or never" he thought to himself as he took one final deep breath.
Mustering up some of his strength he pushed the Cytherea into the crowd of people line using enough power to know everyone over and into the cook.

Before Ferrus could reply, Andres felt a force propel him towards the Cassius in front of him, creating a domino effect that lasted until it stopped dead in its tracks by an unsuspecting Vohzd in line. Recovering from his fall, Andres turned to see Drako with his arms outstretched, too late to retract them and hide his motive. "You!" Andres starts to heat up. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Drako walking over to the shattered line in front of him with an apathetic face thinking to himself "I wish it had gone a little further but i guess this hunger is really effecting me". Looking down at the confused but annoyed cytherea, Drako picks him up and hurdles him further into the line in front of him. The cytherea manages to just hit the person who is last in the line in front of them. This knocks several more people down.

Andres got up, using the people toppled over as support. Where he was and who he was with didn't matter at that point—he was cranky from hunger, irked at the Nekros for using him as a scapegoat. Once he was on his two feet, he started storming towards Drako. The Cytherea grabbed him by the collar, his stabilizer just lightly slipping, bringing the temperature just slightly lower by another degree. "Who the hell do you think you are, throwing me around like that?" People gathered, clearly drawn in by curiosity or for the sake of finding some new form of entertainment. Andres looked around at the crowd. The line grew significantly smaller due to the scene. The butcher stood by his pig, attention unwavering. Maybe... Andres began to think. And within moments, Andres' maniacal smile began to leak out, slowly but surely. With a sly yet vengeful look in his eyes, gave Drako a swift, harsh slap with his robotic arm.

Post by D.N.A. Fri Mar 09, 2012 4:19 am

The hit from the metallic appendage reverberated throughout Drako's entire body, rattling his bones and sending him tumbling backwards through the gray slush. Drako's jackal returned to his side at the sight of this. As he stood, Drako noticed that he and Andres had drawn a rather large crowd of Cassii observers, whose bodies meshed together to create a small circle encompassing the two. The crowd began cheering and whistling. Obscenities could be heard tossed out from any direction, and slowly, the dull roar of the people became norm. "I got 10 buxxors on Robocop," yelled a voice through the cheers, which was met with several yells in the opposition's favor. "Motherfucker, I call 30 big ones on Marilyn Manson over there," commented another spectator, which Drako couldn't help but snicker at. Suddenly a loud whistle hushed the crowd instantaneously as the large man serving the roast pig stepped through into the small clearing. "Tell you what," he spoke in a bassy, earthy tone. "You two duke it out. Winner gets a piece on the house." The crowd cheered loudly at the proposition as the butcher disappeared in the sea of bodies. Drako salivated. Perhaps he could acquire a free meal after all. Andres smirked. The thought of roast pig in his stomach delighted him. That, and the fact that his price of admission to such a delicacy was to beat up this asshole. It was a win-win situation in Andres' eyes.

The crowd swirled with energy. Cheers for Andres came from his corner, met in opposition with rallies for Drako on the other end. Bets were being cast, and were now upwards of 300 buxxors. The two men glared at each other across the fray. Looking around, they noticed several people with outstretched arms offering some makeshift weaponry. Pipes, ceramic plates, tin cups, and several rocks jutted out from the crowd in a very beckoning manner. The crowd settled into a hush as the two stared each other down.

PvP Combat!-Drako v. Andres
The two men were equally as hungry, and thus equally as determined to win. Andres seemed a bit worried. He never exactly enjoyed Ferrus seeing him like this, but pondering over it a moment allowed him to rationalize that it was necessary. Still, he didn't want Ferrus to look down on him, so clearly, killing Drako didn't seem to be an option. Across the fray, Drako's jackal growled profusely as he shook patches of snow off his jacket. He thought about the situation a moment. The clear instability of his body made him second guess his normal method of operation. Extracting Andres' soul seemed dangerous, as the lack of sustenance in Drako's body accompanied with the strange bout of amnesia most likely had caused him a temporary drop in willpower. Either way, a knockout seemed like it would suffice the situation.

Campaign: Requiem Empty Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by joseph Fri Mar 09, 2012 5:04 am

Andres looked around the audience, catching glimpses of his surroundings. Metal something-or-others being offered to him as weapons. The burly man offering a free meal. Ferrus, disapprovingly looking into the fray. Clearly Andres had to fight; there was no way he would have been able to walk away. He then caught sight of the Nekros in front of him, guided by the relentless cheers of the bystanders around them. Asshole, Andres thought to himself. He was ready to kill, but the only thing stopping him was Ferrus. Well, Andres thought to himself, It wouldn't hurt to have a little fun.

Andres turned his stabilizer halfway down, bringing the environment to a chillier state. Snow began to rise by Andres' hand, as if guided by a mysterious force. With the clench of a fist, the snow compressed into numerous little snowballs, and with a thrust of his palm, the snowballs all flew to the direction of the Nekros. Drako dodged swiftly, only to get pelted by a stray snowball straight in the cheek. The impact was oddly hard for a snowball, and as Drako examined the projectile he just got hit with, he noticed that there was a rock hidden within the snowball. Andres smirked as he tossed rock back and forth between hands. [First Action][Psychic Powers]

Andres began the barrage once more. He made more snowballs and started his machine gun attack, only to have Drako dodge them even more. Andres continued the barrage, and Drako continued dodging. Before Drako could realize it, however, Andres took advantage of Drako's preoccupied state of mind and threw a hard punch right into Drako's face. [Second Action][Psychic Powers][Weapon Connection]

Andres took a quick look at his surroundings while Drako was down. The wild cheers of the audience. Ferrus having a hard time stomaching the fight. Andres nearly stopped, but he caught sight of the butcher, meat cleaver in hand and ready to slice up a piece of pork with his name written all over it. Andres' fighting spirit returned; the meat was more than enough incentive to keep going. He rushed onto Drako, still down from the impact of the punch, and mounted him, giving him square hits, one after another. The impacts were shallow yet relentless, weak yet great in number. I've gotta hold back a bit, Andres thought to himself, gotta give these people a nice show. With that, Andres gave one final punch, flowing with a burst of ice square onto Drako's chest. [Third Action][Psychic Powers][Desecrator]

The crowd's roars flooded Andres' ears. The thought of him being cheered on was a bit of a delightful thing, even at the slightest. Andres got up, picked up Drako and hurdled him straight into the air and onto the Jackal, in the same manner Drako had done so to him earlier on. "Payback, motherfucker!" Andres said, backed up by the voices of the many Cassii spectators around him. [Fourth Action]

Campaign: Requiem Empty Re: Campaign: Requiem

Post by Reaper Fri Mar 09, 2012 2:35 pm

"It seems the plan has changed buddy" he said to the jackal as he lifted himself up off of it. The jackal got up only dazed from the large body crashing into it began to growl.
The jeering crowd was readily pushing him back into the inner circle. He was handed a stack of plates from one of the men who was cheering him on. They were heavy because they were ceramic but that was no matter, he knew exactly what to do with them.
Taking the first one off and feeling it in his hand, to get used to the weight he handed it off to the jackal and the jackal kept it in its mouth. Taking the next one off he looked over at the cytherea and threw it at him. The plate flew past him at a freighting speed. This was followed by several more plates but this time they didn't miss. They hit Andre and shattered on impact blowing him back a foot or so. With this more came hitting Andre in the arms legs and torso exploding on impact each time. Before Andre knew it the plates stopped coming and he looked in front of himself only to see the Giant jackal with one final plate. Crashing it over his head part of the crowd laugh and cheer for Drakos next movie [First action][Pet]

Grabbing a pipe from another member of the crowd Drako made his way over to the Cytherea. Raising it above his head The Necros crashes it down in the spot where the debris of the plate had been. Tossing the pipe aside he looks at the jackal and gives him the signal to attack. The jackal grabs andre with his teeth and rustles him around before sitting him up on the ground with fresh snow.[Second action][Soul of the Sword][Pet]

This time grabbing the scythe on his back he spins it around to the back side so the blade is facing away from andre. He sets up for a swing. Standing about 4 feet away he pulls back exactly the same way as a golf swing and swings down and hits andre with the back of his scythe. [Third action][Soul of the Sword]

Making his way over to Andre who is groaning on the ground. Drako feels a rush come over him. The adrenaline seems to be starting to kick in. He puts his scythe back on his back and begins to wail andre with his fists. Knocking blows into his side and his face. The jackal wanting to join in begins to bite at andre's legs. Blow after blow you hear the sound of Drakos fist connecting with Andres body. Soon enough he looks up at the crowd and he sees one having a tin cup. He knows exactly what to do. [Fourth action][pet][Desecrator]

Leaving andre and making his way over the outside of the circle he asks the hand for the tin cup and with the coxing of the crowd he gives it to him. Looking back Andre was back on his feet ready to go some more. Taking the tin cup he walked over to andre he smashes the tin cup across his face. The next moment drake placing the rim of the tea cup on the sturnum of andre's chest punches it making blowing back The Cytherea back a couple feet. Using the tin cup handle as a grip he punches Andre as if using the tin cup as a set of brass knuckles. Finally Drako simply throws the tea cup at andre to add insult to injury. [Fifth action]
