Well I was kind of taken by surprise when I had to do it, but with you, we'll go in, I'll ask if I can get a registration form for a dci membership for you and let you fill it out, you'll rip off a piece of the application, and it will be your temporary card (until you play in 5 tournaments and start getting free stuff. Then you get an actual license card thingy). It should take about 5 to ten minutes. 15 if you actually read everything.

Indeed. although you're bound to get beat up by the big bosses that go regularly, you're almost sure to find someone you're able to play with too. And even the big bosses are pretty nice guys. It's the kids I can't stand -_-

Post by D.N.A. Thu Jun 17, 2010 11:22 pm

Well he wasn't there for FNM, just for casual play with his so-called friends. He was like 14 maybe and had a voice equivalent to that of the male Brittney Recker, first of all. I first encountered him talking to the really nice Magic clerk at Legacy (the young Asian [I'm guessing Filipino] one that works on weekends) and even he seemed annoyed with him. He was ridiculously indecisive with the singles he was buying and kept telling him to put them back after he had taken them out of the box and put the box away already. Then he said he wanted to sell cards for store credit as he was about to pay for the singles he was buying, and spent another 10 minutes deciding which cards to sell. And then there was a whole other confrontation about some sleeves he wanted (he wanted 100, of course; they came in packs of 50) where there was only one pack of 50 left and he wanted 100, and then there was a ruckus and whatnot....

Then later I saw him playing with the two guys he was with, and he basically gave them a really assy attitude that I can't really describe. Seriously, though, I wanted to sock him, and he didn't even do anything to me.

Silly kid. You think he's a beginner who thinks he knows it all after reading the rule sheet that came with the intro pack? Or just a cocky bastard who never read that rule sheet?

And I remember when I first started out, I didn't know what the mana pool was. I thought when a card said "Add [mana] to your mana pool", I thought it meant "Put a land down that provides that color of mana". So I thought that my landfall deck back then beasted until Kris corrected me Razz

Apparently Razz

Kris ran green/white Ally, I ran red/blue semi-burn, Chad ran mono-green, Chester was running a different kind of burn, Ted was running a four-color deck, Tom was running blue/black mill, Andrew was running a weaker Vampire deck, Rico was running black/white Lifelink (the one I have now), and Mitch was running a red/blue 90-card deck cus he was too lazy to actually update his current deck xD

Ah. Yeah, Chad's deck wasn't much, I beat it like twice (even though he got the majority of the wins Razz) and Ted's deck was pretty beast. I can't remember what it was supposed to do, but I can remember him with this one card that tapped one of my permanents during my upkeep, Kathari Bomber and Unscythe, Killer of Kings. It screwed me over pretty bad.
